HOSPITAL POLICIES
We understand that some dogs are very well behaved and mind their owners but not all dogs are dog friendly, so for the safety of all of our clients and our staff, all dogs must be on a leash and cats should be in a carrier.
If you do not have a carrier, please feel free to borrow one of ours.

PHARMACY AND PRODUCTS
Kalkaska Animal Hospital offers an array of both prescription and over the counter products to keep your pet happy and healthy. Our in-house pharmacy is stocked with prescription medications to provide preventive care, treat illnesses and ensure that your pet’s medication is always available.

EMERGENCY AND URGENT CARE
Our appointment book is computerized which allows us to efficiently make appointments for you and your pet. Our receptionists and team will attempt to accommodate all requests to the best of our ability. Emergencies are accepted anytime our clinic is open. If you feel you have an emergency with your pet, please call us or come to the hospital immediately. If possible it is best to call before coming in so that a staff member can advise you on your particular emergency.

We are also available for urgent care when the condition is not life-threatening, but you feel your pet needs to be seen before you are able to get an appointment. Our staff will work to "squeeze" you in between scheduled appointments by having you leave your pet with us for a "drop off" for a few hours. When you arrive, our receptionists will be able to give you an estimate on how long you may have to wait in order to be seen.
